Everything you need to get Getvelify working on your store.
🚀 Getting Started
Step 1: Install the app
- Find Getvelify in the Shopify App Store and click Install
- Review and approve the permissions requested
- You'll be redirected to your Getvelify dashboard inside Shopify admin
Step 2: Enable the widget on your theme
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
- Click Customize on your active theme
- In the theme editor, click the App embeds icon (puzzle piece) in the left sidebar
- Find Getvelify Social Proof and toggle it ON
- Click Save
Tip: The widget only shows notifications for orders from the last 7 days. If your store is new, place a test order first to see it in action.
Step 3: Check your dashboard
Go back to your Getvelify app. The Home page shows the widget status, today's impressions, and a live preview of your notification.
🎨 Customizing Your Widget
Go to Customize in the left navigation to access all customization options.

Tip: Use the Live Preview panel on the right to see your changes in real-time before saving.
📊 Analytics
The Analytics page shows:
- Impressions — each time a notification popup is shown to a visitor
- Clicks — each time a visitor clicks on a notification
- 7-day bar chart — impression trend over the last week
- Monthly total — impressions used this month (relevant for Free plan limit)

Upgrading to Pro
- Go to Plan in your dashboard
- Click Upgrade to Pro
- You'll be redirected to Shopify's billing confirmation page
- Approve the charge — you'll be brought back to your dashboard on Pro
Cancelling Pro
Uninstall the app from Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps → Getvelify → Delete. Your subscription is automatically cancelled through Shopify's billing and you won't be charged again.
🔒 Privacy & GDPR
- Getvelify only stores customer first name and city — never email, phone, or payment data
- EU/EEA customer names are always anonymized to "Someone" automatically
- You can disable customer names globally: Customize → Show customer first name & city → OFF
- All order data is deleted when you uninstall the app
