The widget isn't showing on my storefront. What should I do?
First, make sure the widget is enabled in your dashboard (Home โ Widget Status โ Enabled). Then check that the app embed is turned on in your theme editor: Online Store โ Themes โ Customize โ App Embeds โ Getvelify Social Proof (toggle ON) โ Save.
Why aren't there any notifications showing?
Getvelify only shows real orders from the last 7 days. If your store has no orders in that period, no notifications will appear. Place a test order to see the widget in action.
Can I show fake orders to boost conversions?
No. Getvelify only displays real orders from your store. Shopify's App Store policies prohibit showing fabricated data, and we take this seriously.
How do I customize the notification text?
Go to your Getvelify dashboard โ Customize โ Notification text template. Use {name}, {city}, and {product} as placeholders. Example: "{name} in {city} just grabbed {product}!"
How do I remove the "Powered by Getvelify" branding?
Upgrade to the Pro plan ($19/month) to remove the branding. Go to Plan โ Upgrade to Pro.
Is the widget GDPR compliant?
Yes. For customers in EU/EEA countries, customer names are automatically anonymized to "Someone". You can also disable customer names globally in the Customize settings.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
You can cancel anytime by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Your subscription will be cancelled automatically through Shopify's billing system.
The widget is slowing down my store. What can I do?
The Getvelify widget is designed to be lightweight (<9KB) and loads asynchronously so it never blocks your page. If you're experiencing issues, contact us at support@getvelify.com and we'll investigate.
